And offer you an axle load indicator for your vehicle, either as a solo instrument including interface for SG Sensors, or as a display, which needs contact to one Kimax 2 Sensor through the power line device bus, which can act on the existing electrical system on your vehicle.
Kimax 2 has two separately adjustable alarm levels. Exceeding alarm level 1 is indicated by a flashing diode for the individual axle which has exceeded its limit.
Alarm 2 switches in an internal electronic “relay” when the total weight for the vehicle is exceeded. The relay signal can be used as ON/OFF input for another unit, for example a tracking GPS or a tachograph.
Kimax 2 helps to achieve economical transportation, avoids fines and simultaneously optimizes the cargo weight.
* Tractor/trailer readings call for a Kimax 2 radio installed in the truck and a Kimax 2 sensor installed on the trailer.
Kimax 2 uses the linearity between strain in the front axle(s) and the load above the axle(s).
For the rear axle group Kimax 2 uses the linearity in strain in the parabolic rear axle springs.
By using two reference points for each axle (empty weight and weight at maximum load) and the currently measured strain, Kimax 2 calculate the current axle load with an accuracy of 2% of the maximum load for each axle.
The strain in the front axle will increase lineary with the load above the axle, in case of two front axles each axle must have its own SG sensor.
Through two SG sensors installed on the parabolic springs one in each side enables measuring the axle load on a rear axle group.
SG sensor for front axle and 2 air sensors for rear axle offer you the best accuracy. The influence of inclination or slightly uphill/downhill standing is partly compensated in this configuration, as well as load indicating is unaffected of the distribution of goods loaded on the vehicle.
SG sensor for the front axle and 2 air sensors for the rear axles are connected to Kimax sensor box on chassis. Sensor box communicate weight data with Kimax display inside the cabin.
In case of two independed axles you must connect a SG sensor on each axle to its own input (measuring channel)
In case of a dual group you must connect both sensors from the rear axle group to same input (measuring channel)
Kimax 2 calculates the current axle load on
each axle/axle group based on two reference values LO and HI each axle.
Using a single SG sensor on a mechanical suspended front axle offer you typically same accuracy in axle load as you get on an air suspended front axle.
Kimax 2 is exactly as flexible as your vehicle:
